Along the way, Toby shares a cartoon by Tom Toro and reads from “Sadness Lamp F.A.Q.” by Sarah Hutto (both of which can be found in the March 13, 2017 issue), and I reference Ben Yagoda’s About Town: The New Yorker and the World It Made, as well as Rea Irvin’s original Eustace Tilley cover of the magazine.
